Calm Balm- Itch and Eczema Relief with Kawakawa, Manuka & Blue Tansy
When itchy, irritated skin takes over
Eczema does not just affect the skin. It affects sleep, confidence, comfort and daily life. For parents, it can mean long nights, constant scratching, tears after bath time and the worry of what to put on sensitive skin. Many families want relief but prefer to avoid long term steroid creams unless absolutely necessary.
The Eczema Calm Balm has been created for exactly these moments. A rich, soothing barrier balm designed to calm irritation, reduce itch and support skin that feels sore, dry or inflamed. Gentle enough for regular use and packed with powerful botanicals traditionally used for stressed or reactive skin.
This balm has been carefully refined to bring together Kawakawa, Manuka and a blend of deeply nourishing plant oils to support the skin while also providing antibacterial support where staph overgrowth may be a concern.
How this balm helps
helps relieve dry, itchy and irritated skin
supports the skin barrier to hold in moisture
soothes the appearance of redness
creates a gentle protective layer over compromised skin
provides antibacterial support to help reduce staph on the skin
suitable for children and adults
no nasties
Key ingredients and why they work
Kawakawa (Piper excelsum leaf extract)
A traditional New Zealand native used for irritated and reactive skin. Kawakawa is known for its calming and anti itch properties and is highly valued for supporting upset or inflamed skin.
Manuka essential oil (Leptospermum scoparium leaf oil)
Manuka oil provides powerful yet gentle antibacterial support. It is particularly helpful where staph bacteria may be contributing to recurring eczema flare ups or broken skin from scratching.
Evening primrose oil (Oenothera biennis oil)
Rich in gamma linolenic acid that helps support the skin barrier. Ideal for very dry, rough or cracked skin that needs extra nourishment.
Black seed oil (Nigella sativa seed oil)
Known for its soothing and anti inflammatory properties. Supports itchy and irritated skin and provides additional antibacterial activity.
Neem oil (Azadirachta indica seed oil)
A hero oil for problem skin. Naturally antimicrobial and used traditionally to calm hot, itchy and aggravated skin.
Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii butter)
Deeply nourishing and protective. Helps soften rough areas and supports the skin barrier so moisture is not lost as easily.
Alpha bisabolol
The concentrated active component of chamomile. Known for its ability to calm redness, soothe sensitivity and support skin that feels irritated.
Blue tansy and blue chamomile essential oils
Both are rich in chamazulene, the deep blue compound famous for its calming effect on red, reactive skin. These oils help soothe the look and feel of flare ups. This gives this balm its unique bluish green hue.
Non nano zinc oxide
Creates a breathable barrier on the skin to protect against moisture loss and friction. Provides mild antimicrobial benefits and helps calm irritated areas. Note the zinc oxide is suspended in the balm so some particles may be visible when rubbing in, this is normal and will disappear when smoothed over the skin.
How to use-
Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin and massage gently into itchy or irritated areas. Use daily and reapply as needed.
Suitable for face and body. Patch test before first use, especially on sensitive skin.
